UI / UX Designer — Interface & Interaction
Leon Modrijan
I design interfaces the way I once built machines, precise parts, tested by hand, nothing wasted.
01 Profile Background
From the workshop floor to the interface.
Three years running real machines as a mechatronics operator taught me tolerance and patience. A part is either within spec or it isn't, and no amount of explaining changes that.
I bring the same standard to interfaces. I'd rather ship one screen that holds up under real use than five that only work in a mockup, and I'd rather figure something out by building it than by reading about it. Right now that means computer science by day and design work by night.
02 Capabilities Tools
What I work with.
Tools, not scores. If you want to know how well I use one of these, ask me to show you.

03 Trajectory Timeline
The order matters.
Each step calibrated the next.
2021 — 2024
Mechatronics operator
Three years on real machines. Learned to work to tolerance, where a fraction of a millimetre is the difference between a part that fits and one that fails. Precision became a habit rather than a goal.
2024 — present
Computer science student
Traded the workshop for the editor. Same instinct, new material: building software, learning the systems underneath, and shipping small projects of my own.
2025 — present
UI/UX design and web
Where it meets: interfaces designed with an engineer's eye and built by hand. Simple, deliberate, and made to actually be used.
